At a Glance

Jera was engaged by a social impact nonprofit that had recently implemented changes to their pay structure and approach. However, the employees did not receive the communication well, which led to negative feelings and mistrust. The organization approached Jera for assistance in clarifying and deepening the communication to alleviate the negative impact.

Jera conducted a thorough review of all communication platforms, including email, intranet, and recordings of all hands meetings. Based on the findings, we created new communication tools in multiple formats that explained the changes and the rationale behind them. The tools also defined the future outlook for the employees, including potential opportunities for growth and development.

Despite the change not being well-received initially, the follow-up communication developed by Jera was insightful and honest. Using follow-up surveys, we were able to show that it restored the employees' trust in the organization and its leadership. The organization was able to navigate the change successfully, and employees felt more informed and engaged with the organization's vision and goals.
